There's debate in Wizard land about whether this is a pest repelent (certainly works on cats -- probably repels ashwinders, or those things that eat the walls from inside), or a way to cover one's scent and tracks by spreading dust evenly over the whole room. It evenly leaves a lingering smell of dusty, unused room!TWZRDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12169033110387022829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-66847974120026777702009-10-18T03:30:17.873-07:002009-10-18T03:30:17.873-07:00Tried an old slow browser -- after several detours...Tried an old slow browser -- after several detours I seem to be sticking for the moment! Unfortunately, it now requires acrobatics of the mouse if I want to copy this onto something for a spell check! Sigh...
Well, I am enjoying reading all your great comments without having to beg the window to stay open.

I'm having trouble remembering all those sweets. (I do remember Dumbledore's password was once "cockroach clusters." Sounds like something only a small boy could love!
Maybe I'll go with the Berty Bott's every flavor beans. Also crafted for little fellows who enjoy a good gross out, I think, since more than half seem to be something awful like "ear wax." No doubt Jo was thinking of a bad jelly bean trip.

Like Dragonic, I though first of a printer/copier. (I'm old enough to remember gelatin mimeographs. Bet half of you don't know the M word!) I was amused by the pamphlet copying quills at the ministry.
Maybe a wizard wouldn't know there was an original under the copier lid? Maybe this is how muggles commit thoughts to paper? They stand in front of this complex, noisy behemoth of a machine and everything in their heads comes out on neatly trimmed, stapled and collated sheets of parchment. Wouldn't they be envious!TWZRDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12169033110387022829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-59193555189042832532009-10-12T12:24:49.412-07:002009-10-12T12:24:49.412-07:00I would have to go with Chocolate Frogs.

A witch or wizard could use it to store spell and potions books they they wouldn't have to lug around a bunch of books to them it would seem like an acommidation spell used to allow you to put an infinite amount stuff into what appears to be a really small spaceJoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02101763536329789244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-45700846943593203572009-10-09T17:03:51.833-07:002009-10-09T17:03:51.833-07:00Also like fizzing wizbees, cause they're made ...Also like fizzing wizbees, cause they're made from the bird thing. who's name I can't remember.

modern technology... hmm...

I think that laser pointer would be confusing. I've had a bit of a writing streak and didn't want to distract myself too much.

My favourite Honeydukes sweet has to be the sugar quill, although it's a kind of boring. It would be the perfect thing to pretend to write with while brainstorming, and getting a pep-me-up at the same time. If I only I wrote with quills...

As for the technology thing, I like the pensieve-printer idea.

The first thing I actually thought of was Twitter because tweets are like sending instant owls (except it's the little blue twitter/tweet bird instead). Not sure where I'm going with this though. Maybe I'll think of something else later.

Love how the story's going so far, btw.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-51721030190150663042009-10-03T18:16:44.611-07:002009-10-03T18:16:44.611-07:00It's not too riginal, but I really do like the...It's not too riginal, but I really do like the idea of thsoe chocolate frogs.

As for the contest, what 'bout a computer printer that can be plugges into a pensieve to print out images from someone's memory?Dragonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15496866358939988555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-13913896146226316072009-10-02T09:26:00.348-07:002009-10-02T09:26:00.348-07:00A purpalator: a whimsical coffee pot that turns a...A purpalator: a whimsical coffee pot that turns anything you want purple.
