(Must have been the text book?)
Anyway, I can't remember who Silver Conkling is, but since A1 has a head start, I'll give Zophar my vote.

We hardly need another spell with so many nice ones, but I'll embellish a bit on Rehannah's idea if I may. (We had one of those floods here back in May.)

What if you could weave water into a sort of wall? The water itself would be confined to the wall, and water on either side of the wall would be prevented from crossing. Something like the Red Sea in "Ten Commandments", only with a lovely basket weave design. If the water were clean and backlit it would look quite pretty. Confused fish and Merfolk could swim around in it, too. Some folk employ it for grindilow (sp?) barriers to keep them out of swimming areas and ornamental ponds.
The downside is what happens if you fail to sustain the wall, or control its eventual dissolution.
It's common name could be water-weave. Latin incantation? Maybe "aquaservus"? (Wish my Latin dictionary weren't downstairs! Anyone know "wall" or "weave" in Lingua Latina?)TWZRDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12169033110387022829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-54370695016817090022010-08-20T07:02:45.604-07:002010-08-20T07:02:45.604-07:00De-Track charm: causes the charmed being to leave ...De-Track charm: causes the charmed being to leave the fingerprints, footprints, etc., of someone or something else.

De-Tact Curse: causes the victim to instantly offer uncensored and true opinions of everyone. When cast on a person, creature, or thing, it gives the caster an attribute or ability of the thing, and gives the thing the respective ability of the caster. For instance, you could get the swimming skills of a fish, or the running skills of a horse, the musical skills of a conductor, or the bark of a tree (while the tree would get your skin).

It's a dangerous charm, because if you are not careful you could get the wrong attribute. Would you like the walking skills of a fish, or the speaking skills of a horse? (or the intelligence of a rock?)

The charm wears off. It usually wears off gradually, but if the attribute undergoes too much stress, then the attributes will snap back to their rightful owners. The more skilled the caster is, the longer the charm will endure.

Also note that it is possible to pass a borrowed skill onto another person, in exchange for their skill.Sir Read-a-Lothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01888413511710379778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-87587468312117784632010-08-08T18:48:17.023-07:002010-08-08T18:48:17.023-07:00Hey Robbie! As for the spell, maybe something that sucks up water instead of spouting it out, in light of all the flooding going on in parts of the world. Maybe the spell could put the water to some better use. Not sure what it would be called. I don't know latin that well.
