(By the way, Happy Solstice to everyone up top. Don't you just love when the days get longer again?)
OK, even though I think the suit of armor would be hilarious, and the "bogart mirror" would be profound, I can see which way the wind is blowing. The pictures have possibilities, and Sir R. I'm sure it won't be simple. I vote for A.
As for the witch; the idea of Joe as a story spinning fem fatale sounds great (I always spelled that Scheherazade -- or rather the publishers of Rimsky's tone poem did).
Of course, we are in Venice, so maybe an Italian name would be better, but they do have a very diversely influenced culture, so the Arabian carpet rider isn't totally out of pocket.
So, I concur, Joe/Scheherazade. And his/her tales will disarm the "Sultan of the ring."

While I'm at it, a Happy Christmas to everyone!TWZRDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12169033110387022829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-13152493231322867942009-12-16T03:40:30.327-08:002009-12-16T03:40:30.327-08:00I think the woman calls herself Sol. I believe it ...I think the woman calls herself Sol. I believe it is sometimes used in English, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it means sun in Norwegian, and it is sometimes (but very seldom) a name, a female name. (In my dialect, we speak of the sun as a female object, just like Tokien's wonderful hobbits.) What I also like about Sol as a name, is that it is short, simple and, at least I think so, beautiful. Though I like the names that have already come up. :)Tolkienizerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08673094644140364603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-33664278462962731592009-12-10T09:05:48.860-08:002009-12-10T09:05:48.860-08:00I like A, but my second choice would be C.

They can't just be variations (such as offering insurance against your trousers being torn by mad dogs) and they must be a means of support (thus collecting used sardine tins doesn't qualify unless one can get 'a roaring trade in them'.)

Read it. There are knights who tell the truth, and knaves who lie, and delusional people believe only false things, and sane people believe only true things, and if you're asleep than you believe only false things, and if you're awake you believe true things, and vampires always tell lies, and people tell the truth, until an asleep, delusional, vampiric knave will only make true statements.Sir Read-a-Lothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01888413511710379778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998075323382223363.post-12404188813693790282009-12-08T00:57:29.061-08:002009-12-08T00:57:29.061-08:00Ah, yes.
